Bhubaneswar, Sep 26: The Odisha Police has issued a strong warning to its field officers against participating in unauthorized activities, particularly in transportation and operations within mining and industrial zones.
DGP YB Khurania has expressed serious concern regarding reports of field-level officers engaging in these activities, which fall outside their policing duties.
In a letter addressed to all Superintendents of Police and Deputy Commissioners of Police, the Additional Director General of Police (L&O) noted that it has come to their attention that some officers are involved in such operations.
The DGP emphasized that any continued involvement or favoritism in these matters will not be tolerated and will result in serious consequences.
Field officers are instructed to adhere strictly to this directive and avoid any involvement in unauthorized activities, it said.
