​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Baripada, Sept 19: In a major crackdown, the Bangiriposi Police in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district seized over one quintal of ganja (marijuana) from two cars and arrested six persons in this connection.

Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted two cars, which were heading from Deogarh to Jharkhand, on National Highway 49 near Dwarasuni Ghat area and conducted a search which led to the discovery of over one quintal of ganja.

The police seized the contraband and arrested six individuals traveling in the two cars.

Authorities have initiated further investigations into the matter.
