Odisha: OAV students shine in JEE (Main) Session-2; Seven score above 99 percentile

Bhubaneswar, April 21: Students from Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) have delivered an exceptional performance in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 (Session 2), achieving remarkable success across the State, said an official communication.

According to a communication of the School and Mass Education Department, a total of 141 students from various OAVs have qualified for JEE (Advanced) 2026, marking a significant milestone for the institution. Among the top performers, Piyush Ranjan Swain secured an impressive 99.89 percentile, emerging as one of the highest scorers.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 2 for Paper 1 (Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology) on April 20.

The results further highlight the academic excellence of OAV students, with seven students scoring above 99 percentile, 34 students above 95 percentile, and 63 students above 90 percentile, it stated.

“This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication, discipline, and hard work of the students, as well as the consistent efforts of teachers and mentors across OAVs in Odisha. The performance underscores the growing academic strength of the OAV system in preparing students for national-level competitive examinations,” it stated.

“Education officials and faculty members have extended their heartfelt congratulations to all successful candidates, expressing confidence that many of them will continue to excel in JEE (Advanced) and secure admissions in premier engineering institutes across the country,” it added.
