Odisha: Number of applicants for ‘Subhadra Yojana’ crosses one crore

Bhubaneswar, Oct 7: The number of applicants for Odisha government’s Subhadra Yojana has crossed one crore on Monday.

Giving this information, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has informed that the total applications have crossed one crore mark by Monday.

The second phase of payments will be disbursed on October 9. During a program in Baripada, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will disburse the first installment of ₹5,000 to the bank accounts of eligible applicants. 

Beneficiaries who completed the application process by October 7 will receive this installment, and a symbolic transfer of ₹1 through SMS notifications will confirm their eligibility.

In this phase, 32 lakh beneficiaries are expected to receive the disbursement. 

The ambitious scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday, September 17, aims to provide financial support to women beneficiaries across the state.
