Puri, Oct 30: The newly appointed Governor of Odisha, Raghubar Das on Monday arrived at Puri ahead of the swearing- in ceremony and offered prayer to the Holy Trinity at Srimandir.

Das proceeded to Raj Bhawan after reaching the pilgrim town. He was welcomed by Puri district collector Samarth Verma, SP Kanwar Vishal Singh at the railway station. Thereafter, he visited Shree Jagannath Temple and sought the blessings of the sibling deities.
According to his schedule, Das will leave for Bhubaneswar around 12.15 PM and will stay at Raj Bhavan. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar at 11.45 AM on Tuesday. Before the ceremony, Das is scheduled to offer prayers at the Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar.
Speaking to the media, Das said, “I feel extremely happy to get a chance to serve the people of Odisha. Today I took the blessing of Lord Jagannath, the presiding deity of the people of the state. I prayed to lord for the people and my priority would be to serve the people of the state. Lord Jagannath has brought me here to serve the people and I assure that the doors of Raj Bhaban will always remain open for the people of the state”.
