Udala, Oct 12: In a horrific incident, a 12-year-old tribal girl was allegedly thrashed to death and her body was later hanged over suspicion of stealing marigold plant in Udala block of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district last night.
The minor girl’s parents found her body hanging at their neighbor’s house. The incident has been reported from Bhaluhuruda village in the block.
As per reports, the victim, who was studying in Bhubaneswar, was at her neighbor’s house as her parents had gone to the capital city to get the girl’s certificates so that she can continue her studies in Udala.

To their utter shock, when the girl’s parents returned and went to the neighbor’s place, they found their daughter’s body hanging. The body reportedly bore injury marks too.
