Bhubaneswar, Feb 26: A significant milestone was reached in the municipal administration of Odisha with the addition of 89 new recruits, underscoring efforts to bolster efficiency, transparency, and community involvement.
Among the recruits were 61 Amins and 28 Auditors, reflecting a diverse array of backgrounds and expertise. Their appointment letters were ceremoniously presented during a 'Nijukti Parba' event held at the Convention Centre of Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, with Housing & Urban Development Minister Usha Devi officiating the process.
The induction program kicked off with an informative orientation session led by Sangramjit Nayak, Director of Municipal Administration, marking a historic moment as the department embarked on its inaugural recruitment initiative. G Mathivathanan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Housing & Urban Development Department, delivered a keynote address highlighting Odisha's journey towards urban transformation.
Notable figures including Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister for Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, and Ananta Narayan Jena, MLA Central, along with Sulochana Das, Mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, were present to offer guidance to the new recruits, emphasizing their duty and responsibility towards the citizens they serve.
The decision to integrate these 89 individuals into the municipal administration aligns with the government's 5T Governance framework, aimed at catalyzing transformation by enhancing efficiency, transparency, and community engagement.
