Bhubaneswar/ Khordha, January 8:  Road Safety Education and Awareness Programme under “Operation Jeevan Raksha” was successfully conducted on Friday at the RITE College campus in Khordha. The initiative, following the directives of Dr. Satyajit Naik, Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Cuttack, aimed to raise awareness among students about road safety and responsible road behavior.

The event saw the active participation of 110 students from RITE College and JRG (Jagat Ram Gupta) Pharmacy College. Sri Subash Ranjan Kabat, Principal of RITE College, Khordha, attended the programme and encouraged students to adopt safe and responsible road practices.

Sri Jugal Kumar Mallik, Additional Superintendent of Police, Khordha, and Nodal Officer of the Road Safety Cell, Khordha, delivered an insightful address. He emphasized critical aspects of road safety, including traffic rules, safe driving techniques, and the importance of responsible conduct on public roads.

The programme also saw active involvement from Sri Umesh Chandra Nayak, IIC of IE Police Station, and his team, who provided practical insights into road safety norms and accident prevention measures.

The initiative aimed to instill a strong sense of discipline and responsibility among young road users, contributing towards the larger goal of reducing road accidents and saving lives.
