Odisha MP Pratap Sarangi admitted in RML Hospital ICU with head injuries after scuffle with Opposition

New Delhi, Dec 19: Odisha MP from Balasore Lok Sabha constituency Pratap Sarangi (69) has been admitted to the ICU of the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital here after he suffered head injuries in a face-off between the Opposition and NDA members in Parliament premises on Thursday.
MP Mukesh Rajput from Uttar Pradesh was also rushed to the hospital from Parliament with head injuries.
The two BJP MPs suffered head injuries in a face-off between the opposition and NDA members in Parliament premises today.
"Sarangi was bleeding profusely and a deep cut on his forehead had to be stitched. His blood pressure and anxiety level were high when he was brought in to the hospital," the attending doctor said.
Rajput also had a head injury in the scuffle and his blood pressure levels had also shot up, the doctor added.
Both of them are in ICU and the health conditions are stated to be stable, the doctor said.
A face-off between the Opposition and NDA MPs in Parliament premises over the alleged insult to B R Ambedkar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inquired about their health after they sustained head injuries in parliament premises.
