Bargarh, Oct 30: Miscreants allegedly decamped with Rs 20 lakh from a car after smashing its window in a brazen daylight robbery reported from Odisha’s Bargarh district.

As per reports, one Subodh Kumar Das of Talipada under Bargarh Municipal Corporation had kept Rs 20 lakh cash inside his car and parked it near a hotel at Gandhi Chowk before going for lunch around 2 pm on Wednesday.

Thereafter, some locals rushed to Subodh while he was having lunch inside the hotel and informed him that a window of his car had been smashed. He then rushed to the spot and found the cash missing. Later, he filed a complaint at Bargah Town Police Station.

Based on the complaint, police launched probe into the matter and a manhunt to nab the culprits is underway.
