Balasore, Aug 10: In a tragic incident, a man reportedly died of electrocution while attempting to fix a light bulb at his home in Soro block of Odisha’s Balasore district.
The deceased man has been identified as Purna Chandra Kar (53) and the incident has been reported from Pakhar village in Soro.
According to reports, Kar was electrocuted while fixing an electric bulb in its holder at his home after returning from the market last evening. His family rushed him to Soro Community Healthcare Centre (CHC), where doctors declared him dead.
Upon getting the information, Soro police reached the hospital and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.
A case has been registered and further investigation into the matter is underway, said the police.
