Dhenkanal, Nov 17: In a tragic road accident on the Dhenkanal-Kamakhyanagar Road near Kamagara Bridge, two youths lost their lives, and four others were severely injured after a collision between a bike and a scooter.

The deceased have been identified as 21-year-old Biswa Prasad Baral and Ganguli Baral, both residents of Keutabereni village. They were riding a bike when it crashed into a scooter.

Reports indicate that the scooter, driven by Manua Mallick from Achhanda village, was carrying his mother, sister, and nephew at the time of the accident. The collision caused all the passengers to be thrown off the bridge, and the riders on the bike suffered fatal head injuries. The bike was reportedly traveling at high speed, which led to severe head injuries for Biswa and Ganguli, causing rapid blood loss and death at the scene.

Local residents quickly came to the aid of the injured and helped transport them to the District Headquarters Hospital in an ambulance. After receiving initial treatment, the injured were referred to Cuttack for further medical care.
