Khurdha, June 9: Khurdha MLA Prashant Jagdev was discharged from the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Cuttack on Sunday.
As per reports, Jagdev underwent treatment at the Medicine Department of hospital for 11 days.
Notably, the legislator was arrested on charges of vandalizing the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) during the third phase of twin polls in Odisha. Later on May 29, his health deteriorated in jail following which he was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
The Additional District Judge-1 has granted him a three-day bail starting today (June 9) on three grounds: to participate in the last rites of his nephew, to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new government, and for health reasons.
