Bhubaneswar, December 12: The Odisha Government on Friday signed an MoU with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N) for preparation of a comprehensive Odisha State Master Plan under the visionary PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
The agreement was signed between the Commerce & Transport Department and BISAG-N.
Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Development Commissioner-cum-ACS Anu Garg, ACS (General Administration and Public Grievances) Surendra Kumar, Commerce and Transport Secretary Usha Padhee along with Secretaries of different departments of the State Government attended the MoU signing ceremony.
BISAG-N Director General TP Singh was also present on this occasion.
This collaboration marks a significant leap towards integrated infrastructure planning and improved digital governance for a future-ready Odisha.
The Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics is an Autonomous Scientific Society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 under the Ministry of Information and Technology to undertake technology development and management, research and development, facilitate National and International cooperation, capacity building and support technology transfer and entrepreneurship development in area of geo-spatial technology.
BISAG-N has three main domain areas - Satellite Communication, Geo-informatics and Geo-spatial technology.
BISAG-N provides specialised services and solutions in implementing map-based Geographic Information Systems and undertakes all services for the entire process of implementing an enterprise level GIS system.
These services include GIS database design and development, map creation/updation and finishing, data migration/conversion and format translation, software development and customization, systems integration and technical consulting. BISAG-N also provides complete GIS solutions, which bundle hardware and software with GIS systems development services.
