Bhubaneswar, Mar 11: Odisha Vigilance officials carried out simultaneous searches at seven locations across Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Kendrapara districts on Wednesday in connection with allegations of disproportionate assets against Prasanna Samantaray, Kantapara Tahasildar in Cuttack.

The operations involved two Additional Superintendents of Police (ASP), eight DSPs, 11 inspectors, five Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and supporting staff, acting on search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance unit in Cuttack.

The searches targeted multiple properties linked to Samantaray, including:

1. A residential triple-storeyed building at Kesara in Bhubaneswar

2. Another under-construction residential building in Kesara, Bhubaneswar

3. His paternal house in Duchhia, Alibada, Puri

4. A relative’s house in Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar

5. His office chamber at Kantapada, Cuttack

6. A relative’s house in Badapaldia, Kendrapara

7. His government quarter at Kantapada, Cuttack

Authorities are conducting thorough searches at each location, and further updates are expected as the operation progresses.
