Bhubaneswar, March 22: The Higher Education Department has invited applications for admission for two-year B.Ed, M.Ed and B.H.Ed courses for the academic session 2026–27.
As per the notification, the admission process will be conducted through an entrance examination. Candidates aspiring to enroll in these courses can submit their applications online through the SAMS portal (www.samsodisha.gov.in) by filling out the Common Application Form (CAF) from 23rd March to 6th April, 2026.
All applicant data will be forwarded to the State Selection Board (SSB) on 13th April for the conduct of the entrance examination.
Admit cards for the examination will be made available from 27th May, 2026.
The entrance examination for the B.Ed course will be held on 31st May, while the examinations for M.Ed and B.H.Ed courses are scheduled for 3rd June, 2026.
“It is for information of all concerned that admission into 2-year B.Ed./B.H.Ed./M.Ed. Courses for the HEls participating under SAMS shall be done through an Entrance test. Accordingly, the candidates are hereby instructed to fill-up the Common Application Form by visiting the SAMS B.Ed./B.H.Ed./M.Ed. portal as per the timeline mentioned below. Information Brochure for course B.Ed./B.H.Ed./M.Ed. is available on the SAMS portal. Please refer to the Information Brochure before filling up the CAF,” the notification stated.
“Like the previous academic session, admissions into 2-year B.Ed./B.H.Ed./M.Ed. courses for the Academic Session 2026-27 shall be made exclusively on the basis of scores obtained in the Entrance Test,” it stated.
In the current academic session, Phase-I admission will be conducted initially. Based on the availability of vacant seats, the Higher Education Department may consider conducting Phase-Il or SPOT admissions later only for left-out students.
