Boudh, Jan 9: Over 30 passengers had a lucky escape on Friday when a passenger bus crashed into a roadside house at Basudevpali, under the jurisdiction of Manamunda police in Odisha’s Boudh district. Miraculously, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

The bus, which was traveling from Bhubaneswar to Bolangir, met with the accident along National Highway-57. While the exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined, the collision resulted in significant damage to a portion of the house. The wall and part of the sunshade of the house were reportedly destroyed after the bus veered off the road and crashed into it.

Despite the damage to the structure, none of the residents of the house were harmed. Likewise, all passengers aboard the bus were unharmed, according to the police. Authorities confirmed that, fortunately, there were no injuries in this harrowing incident.

Local authorities arrived at the scene promptly and began efforts to manage the aftermath. Restoration work is currently underway to clear the debris and safely remove the bus from the damaged section of the house. An inquiry has been initiated to determine the exact circumstances that led to the crash and whether any external factors contributed to the accident.
