Odisha govt. withholds full pension and gratuity of Ex- ASO for bribery

For the offence, Renuka Devi was convicted by Special Judge of Vigilance, Cuttack and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and pay fine of Rs.10,000 and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 6 months more

Cuttack, May 17: The full pension and gratuity of Renuka Devi, Ex- ASO of Board of Revenue in Cuttack has been withheld permanently following her conviction in bribery case.

According to a official release, Renuka Devi was earlier charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in Cuttack for demanding and accepting bribe from a complainant for issuance of registration certificate for Private Hospital Association.

For the offence, Renuka Devi was convicted by Special Judge of Vigilance, Cuttack and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and pay fine of Rs.10,000 and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 6 months more.

Following conviction of Vigilance had communicated in this regard to the competent authority to take appropriate action against Renuka Devi. Accordingly, Renuka Devi was imposed with penalty of withholding of full pension & gratuity permanently by the competent authority for bribery.
