Bhubaneswar, Mar 1: Odisha Government on Friday announced to hike the daily and retainer fees of Non-Cadre Law Officers handling litigations on behalf of the State Government in various courts by 50 percent.

A total of 1,215 law officers working in various courts across the state will be benefitted by this. As per the hike, 184 Additional Public Prosecutors who are currently drawing daily fees of Rs 1,250 will now get Rs 1,875. Similarly, they will now get retainer fees of Rs 12,300 against the earlier fee of Rs 8,200.
Similarly, 740 working Assistant Public Prosecutors who were getting Rs 1,100 daily fees will now get Rs 1,650. They will also be paid retainer fees of Rs 6,000 against the earlier fee of Rs 4,000.
Besides, 85 Special Public Prosecutors who were previously getting Rs 1,250 as daily fees will now get Rs 1,875. Regarding retainer fees, they will be paid Rs. 12,300 against the earlier amount of Rs. 8,200.

Similarly, 29 Government Pleaders and 113 Assistant Government Pleaders who were previously receiving Rs 8,200 as retainer fees will now receive Rs 12,300.
