Bhubaneswar, August 16: In a significant administrative move to strengthen flood management and expedite relief operations, the Odisha Government on Sunday deputed three senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to oversee preparedness, rescue, relief and restoration activities in the flood-affected districts of Bhadrak, Baleshwar, and Jajpur.

According to an official order issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, the officers have been directed to proceed to their respective districts immediately and remain stationed there until further orders. They will closely monitor the evolving flood situation and coordinate measures to ensure an effective and timely response.

Sudhansu Mohan Samal, Managing Director of OMC, has been assigned to Bhadrak; K. Sudarshan Chakravarthy, MD of OSCSC, to Baleshwar; and P. Anvesha Reddy, Excise Commissioner, to Jajpur.

The officers have been directed to remain stationed in their respective districts and coordinate closely with local administrations to oversee evacuation, relief distribution and restoration of essential services.
