Bhubaneswar, Oct 08: The Odisha government on Tuesday appointed 282 new officers and staff across various departments as part of its ongoing recruitment efforts.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi presented the appointment letters during a special event attended by Deputy Chief Ministers K.V. Singh Deo and Pravati Parida.
Among the newly appointed officials, 79 joined the energy department, 104 were placed in the health and family welfare department, and 99 took positions with the Odisha Mining Corporation.
In his address, Majhi referred to the recruits as the "pilots of progress" essential for the state's development.
He encouraged them to work diligently for the effective implementation of government initiatives aimed at public welfare.
Emphasizing the government's commitment to a developed Odisha, Majhi highlighted the vital role that employees play in every initiative.
He reminded the new appointees that their letters of appointment signify not just a job, but a significant opportunity to serve the public.
"Commit yourselves to the service of humanity, strive for personal growth, and engage in nation-building," he urged.
