Bhubaneswar, August 27:The Odisha government has accepted the resignation of Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena and forwarded the No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The 2013-batch IPS officer had tendered his resignation from the All India Services, citing personal reasons. Meena said he took the decision after discussions with his family and friends and requested that his privacy be respected.

He has not disclosed his future plans.

According to sources, Meena had submitted his resignation nearly three months ago, although the development came to light in July.

During his career, Meena served as Superintendent of Police (SP) in Malkangiri, Angul and Ganjam districts. He also served as DCP of Cuttack before taking charge as Bhubaneswar DCP.

Before joining the Indian Police Service, Meena completed his B.Tech and M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kanpur.
