Odisha Governor contributes Rs 20 lakh to CMRF for Covid-19

Bhubaneswar, May 5: Governor of Odisha, Ganeshi Lal today contributed Rs 20 lakhs to Chief Ministers Relief Fund (CMRF) from his discretionary grant and has appealed people to contribute generously towards CMRF to support Government’s efforts in our fight against Covid-19 pandemic. This was informed by the office of the Governor through micro-blogging site twitter. “ Hon'ble Governor contributed ₹20 lakhs to #CMReliefFund from his Discretionary Grant and has appealed people to contribute generously towards #CMRF to support Government’s efforts in our fight against #COVID19Pandemic,” read the tweet. As many as 9,889 persons in the state tested positive for Coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The total number of infected persons in Odisha reached 489641 with detection of the fresh cases.
