Bhubaneswar, Feb 21: Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Kumar Panigrahi today joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party’s State Office in Bhubaneswar.
He joined the saffron party in the presence of BJP’s Odisha unit President Manmohan Samal.
After joining the party, Panigrahi said that the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre has transformed the country significantly and time has now come for change in Odisha also.
He requested the people of Odisha to give a chance to BJP by give it full majority in the state.
He also accused the state government of taking credit by hijacking the Central Government schemes.
Notably, Panigrahi was expelled from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on November 29, 2020 over “anti-people activities”.
He was expelled from the party after his alleged association with tainted IFS Officer Abhay Kant Pathak’s son Akash Kumar Pathak and involvement in a job fraud came to light.
