
Bhubaneswar, September 25: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a stern warning to fishermen in Odisha, advising them to avoid venturing into the North and Central Bay of Bengal, as well as the Odisha coastline, from September 25 to 28, 2025.
The IMD predicts the onset of squally weather in the region, with wind speeds ranging between 35-45 km/h, gusting up to 55 km/h on September 25. From September 26 to 28, winds are expected to intensify, reaching 40-50 km/h, with gusts up to 60 km/h. The sea conditions are likely to remain rough to very rough throughout this period.
Fishermen currently at sea are urged to return to the coast by this evening for their safety.
