Bhubaneswar, July 31: Odisha Finance Department on Wednesday urged subordinates and its crew members to use Odia language in all official dealings.
Additional Chief Secretary Satyabrata Sahu issued a letter in this connection to the allied offices today.
The letter read, in view of the Chief Minister’s directions on using Odia as the official language, all finance related files, correspondences, notesheets, departmental orders and notifications will be most preferably prepared in Odia.
Thus, concerned official are requested to ensure using Odia in all official transactions, the leter added.
Worth mentioning, Principal Secretary to Agriculture, Arabinda Padhee a while ago had asked his officials to make all official works and communication in Odia.
