Udala, May 2: In a tragic incident, a female post-graduation student was found hanging from a tree in Udala locality of Odisha's Mayurbhanj district today.

The deceased has been identified as Rekha Khandei, a resident of Raibania village within Udala police limits in the district and was pursuing her post-graduation studies at Ravenshaw University in Cuttack.

According to reports, Rekha had returned home four days prior to the incident. Her body was found hanging from a mango tree in her village today morning. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear.

Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.

Further investigation into the matter was underway.
