Bhubaneswar, Mar 10: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday announced 15 days casual leave per year for the employees of all government-aided educational institutions in Odisha.
Patnaik also announced paid maternity leave of 180 days for all women employees.
This will benefit about 33,420 employees (teaching and non-teaching) working in 2560 high schools, 940 Upper Primary schools, 39 Sanskrit schools and 138 Madrasas in the state.
Notably, 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian had received various proposals from the employees of aided educational institutions in different areas during his district visits.
After a thorough discussion, Patnaik approved the proposal.
