Bhubaneswar, June 26: To provide more comfortable travel facilities to passengers and to cater to the increased rush of commuters during the upcoming week, the Indian Railways has decided to temporarily augment additional coaches in five important express trains.
According to an East Coast Railways (ECoR) Train No. 12837 Howrah–Puri Express will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach from June 27 to July 3 while Train No. 18039 Shalimar–Puri Express will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach on June 28.
Similarly, Train No. 18045 Shalimar–Charlapalli Express will be augmented with one AC 3-Tier Coach from June 27 to July 3. Train No. 18063 Santragachi–Yelahanka Express will be augmented with one AC 3-Tier Coach on July 2 while Train No. 18107 Rourkela–Jagdalpur Express will be augmented with one Sleeper Class Coach on June 28.
The temporary augmentation of coaches will provide additional berths to passengers travelling on these important routes and help accommodate the growing travel demand during the period, the ECoR asserted.
