Bhubaneswar, June 18: The curfew in the areas under Balasore municipality has been extended until midnight on June 20, with a 4-hour relaxation period for the general public from 7 am to 11 am.
During this time, all commercial establishments are allowed to be opened.
The decision to relax curfew restrictions aims to facilitate public access to emergency essentials such as medicines, vegetables, and milk.
However, the relaxation does not apply to public gatherings or large-scale movement of people.
Internet services will remain suspended, except for banks and some government offices.
Police have arrested 35 individuals involved in the violent clash that led to the curfew.
Despite the tension, authorities are taking steps to restore peace in the town.
