Bhubaneswar, March 19: The evaluation of Matric (Class 10) answer sheets began across Odisha on Thursday, with subjective papers now under assessment at 51 centres statewide. Around 15,000 teachers have been deployed as examiners for the process.

While the evaluation of OMR sheets had already commenced earlier, the checking of subjective answer sheets started today under strict monitoring and guidelines.

School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond said the evaluation will be completed smoothly and within the scheduled timeframe. “Just as the Matric examination was conducted seamlessly, the evaluation will also be completed on time. All arrangements have been made to ensure results are published without delay so that students can take admission into Plus Two courses on time,” he stated.

Addressing concerns over the lack of holidays for evaluators during Eid and Ram Navami, the Minister emphasized the importance of timely result publication. “We have to declare the results within the stipulated time. Teachers need to cooperate so that students do not face any inconvenience,” he added.

The evaluation process is scheduled to conclude by April 2. CCTV surveillance has been installed at all centres, and stringent security measures are in place to ensure transparency and accuracy in marking.
