Odisha CM releases third installment of CM-Kisan scheme

Bhubaneswar, Aug 27: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday released the third installment of the CM-Kisan scheme and provided financial assistance to more than 51 lakh small and marginal farmers in the state.

Under the scheme, each farmer received Rs 2,000 directly in their bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

CM Majhi released the financial assistance in presence of Deputy Chief Minister and State Agriculture Minister KV Singh Deo during a state-level function at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT).

It is worth noting that the CM-Kisan scheme is designed to support farmers by providing Rs 4,000 annually in two installments. With the release of the latest installment, the total assistance under the scheme has now reached Rs 1,041 crore. These funds are expected to assist farmers with their early farming activities for the 2025-26 Rabi season.
