Bhubaneswar, June 15: Newly elected Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Saturday chaired a law and order review meeting at the State guest house, attended by senior police officers.
According to reports the meeting was attended by DGP Arun Sarangi, ADGs Lalit Das, Sanjay Kumar, RK Sharma, Arun Bothra, Amitabh Thakur, Director Intelligence Saumendra Priyadarshi, Twin City Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda, Special Secretary Home Santosh Bala, DIG Satyajit Naik, and other IPS officers.
Discussions reportedly covered law and order, security, arrangements for Snana Purnima and Eid celebrations in the state, as well as strategies against Maoists, enhancing police community engagement, tackling crimes against women, and ensuring swift justice for citizens. Detailed reports are awaited on outcomes from the meeting.
Worth mentionong, the CM held his first high-level review meeting with senior government officials on Friday. The meeting was attended by Deputy CMs KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, Chief Secretary PK Jena, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Finance Secretary Vishal Dev, Agriculture Secretary Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Secretary Suresh Kumar Vashishth, along with Principal Secretaries from various departments.
