Bhubaneswar, Sep 26: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will undertake an aerial survey of the areas affected by heavy rainfall and flooding in Ganjam, Koraput and Nabarangpur districts on Sunday.

Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari and Special Relief Commissioner Rajesh Prabhakar Patil will accompany the Chief Minister.

At Kotpad in Koraput district, they will review the flood situation and subsequently hold discussions with senior officials at Jayapur to assess the situation and response measures.

The state government remains fully committed to ensuring that all necessary services, assistance and relief are provided to the people, said an official.

Notably, the recent deep depression has caused widespread damage to crops in several parts of the state.
