Bhubaneswar, Sept 29: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi launched fierce attacks on BJD leaders, accusing them of exploiting Jajpur for personal gain under the guise of development.
Speaking at a public gathering, Majhi alleged that the families of certain BJD leaders had significantly harmed the region instead of delivering justice and development.
"Few families have looted Jajpur in the name of development. These leaders have failed the people and contributed to the region's destruction," Majhi remarked, without naming specific individuals.
The CM further criticized the BJD's 24-year rule, accusing the party's Jajpur representatives of exploiting the mineral-rich region without uplifting the local population.
Majhi also addressed the mysterious death of Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) Smitarani Biswal, promising a thorough investigation into the case, which has sparked public outrage. He assured that stringent action would be taken against anyone found responsible for her death.
