Bhubaneswar, May 18: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited Boudh district on Sunday and inaugurated a Rs 28-crore road project in Boudh to boost connectivity in the district.
Majhi also reviewed major projects, including a 300-bed hospital, a new bus stand, and a railway station nearing completion.
He chaired a meeting at the District Collector's office, expressing satisfaction over the district’s development, but urged the timely completion of delayed projects with quality assurance.
He emphasized improvements in education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure, and praised initiatives like Mission Shakti and the Mid-Day Meal Programme. The CM called for public involvement in governance and pledged support to resolve land, funding, and manpower challenges.
Aiming for the previous government, Majhi said Boudh had been neglected and vowed to transform it into a model district with a focus on tourism, industry, and renewable energy. Senior officials and local representatives were present during the review.
