Pipili, Aug 4: At least four persons, including an infant, had a close shave when their car caught fire after skidding off the road in Pipili area of Odisha’s Puri district on Sunday.
As per reports, the incident occurred when the car veered off the road at Bahabaja Chhak in Pipili after colliding with an electric scooter. The accident happened as the car driver swerved sharply to avoid hitting a stray bull.
Following the collision, both the car and the electric scooter veered off the road. Moments later, the car burst into flames, causing panic among the passengers and bystanders.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the freak mishap. Both the electric scooter rider and the car's occupants narrowly escaped the mishap with minor injuries.
Upon getting the information, a team of fire services personnel from Pipili arrived at the spot and doused the flames.
