​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Oct 25: The Commissionerate Police is digging out its best to crack down the high-profile sex racket that was operating at Laxmisagar area in Bhubaneswar. Meanwhile, the minor survivor hailing from Jharkhand has recovered from her mental trauma.She has been sheltered in a Short-stay home here in the city for investigation.

On the other hand, on getting intimation from the Odisha Police, the Child Rights officials from Jharkhand reached Bhubaneswar to take stock of the matter.

According to the Commissionerate Police, a team of Jharkhand State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) arrived Bhubaneswar on Saturday to probe into the alleged girl trafficking row.

The SCPCR team of Jharkhand, is now investigating into the matter to ascertain if the minor girl was trafficked to sell her out or was forcefully engaged here as a sex worker.Meanwhile, the team met the victim girl at a short-stay home and enquired of her ordeal.The JSCPCR team also urged the the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR), to ensure the minor’s good health, essential counselling, rehabilitation with her utmost safety & security.
