Bhubaneswar, Aug 6: Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. Raipur (North) MLA Purandar Mishra was also present during the meeting.

The leaders held discussions on enhancing inter-state cooperation, with a focus on regional connectivity, mutual development, and the welfare of the Odia community living in Chhattisgarh. They also exchanged views on promoting cultural ties between the two neighbouring states.

Sharing details of the meeting on social media, Chief Minister Majhi said the interaction was cordial and centred on strengthening collaboration in areas of common interest. He noted that discussions covered development initiatives, better connectivity, and measures to support the Odia diaspora in Chhattisgarh, along with cultural exchange.

The meeting is considered significant as Odisha and Chhattisgarh share a long interstate border and have common priorities in sectors such as infrastructure development, trade, tribal welfare, and regional cooperation. Both sides expressed their commitment to deepening ties and working together for the overall development of the two states.
