New Delhi, Sept 8: An Odisha Cadre IAS Officer, Tuhin Kanta Pandey has been appointed as the Union Finance Secretary.
The Centre, on Sunday approved the appointment of Padey in the Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry of Personal, Public Grievances and Pensions issued a notification regarding the new assignment of Pandey.
The notification read, “The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved designating Tuhin Kanta Pandey, Secretary, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, Ministry of Finance as Finance Secretary.”
Earlier, Pandey was working as Secretary of the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM).
The 1987-batch IAS officer is going to relieve TV Somanathan, who will join as the new Cabinet Secretary of India.
