Bhubaneswar, Sept 12: The Odisha Cabinet, Chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, on Thursday approved 10 percent horizontal reservation for Ex-Agniveers in all group C and D posts in direct recruitment in the uniform service like police, forest, excise and fire.
Such reservation shall be over and above the reservation applicable to Ex-Agniveers, provided they must fulfill the required minimum qualification for the posts in the relevant recruitment rules as on date of award of Agniveer certificate,
There will be three years relaxation in the prescribed upper age limit for Ex-Agniveers in all group C And D posts in direct recruitment in the Uniform services in the state. They will be exempted from physical efficiency tests, said Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja.
