Bhubaneswar, Apr 7: Ahead of the Lok Sabha and state Assembly polls, senior leader and Odisha BJP vice-president Lekhashree Samantsinghar today resigned from the primary membership of the party.
She tendered her resignation letter to Odisha BJP Chief Manmohan Samal.
“I have given my sweat and blood to the Bharatiya Janata Party since the last 10 years. However, despite all the sincerity and hard work, I could not earn the trust of the leadership. Hence, I feel there is nothing left for me to do here and my desire to serve the people of Odisha is being hampered,” said Samantsinghar in the resignation letter.
