Bhubaneswar, May 9: Major political parties in Odisha—BJP, BJD, and Congress—held separate events on Friday to express solidarity with the nation's armed forces and to uplift their morale.
The BJP and BJD each organised mass lamp-lighting ceremonies at iconic religious sites in Bhubaneswar. While the BJP gathered before the Ram Mandir, the BJD conducted its programme at the historic Shri Lingaraj Temple. Both events were marked by prayers for the well-being and safety of Indian soldiers.
Leaders and members of the BJP’s women’s wing participated in the event at Ram Mandir, lighting earthen lamps to demonstrate their unwavering support for the armed forces.
