Cuttack, Nov 2: Odisha defeated Assam by 8 wickets in the Under-19 Women T20 Trophy 2023 played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Electing to bat first, Assam Under 19 women were bundled out for a paltry 64 runs in 17 overs, informed Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) sources.
Pahari Saikia (18 in 33 balls) and Rupashree Saikia (14 in 25 balls) could put up some fight against Odisha bowlers.
For Odisha, pacers duo Ankita Giri (3/2) and Ananya Mishra (2/10) were impressive.
In reply, Odisha achieved the target in 12.5 overs. Priyanakaree Muduli (unbeaten 21 in 32 balls) and Sai Krripa (20 in 24 balls) helped Odisha XI to overcome the little challenge posed by Assam bowlers.
The two Odisha wickets were shared by Assam's Kaku Barman (1/10) and Gyanshree Barman (1/11).
