Odisha bag 14 medals in the National Games

Bhubaneswar: Odisha pocketed 14 medals including 4 gold,  3 silver and 7 bronze medals by the end of Day 4 in the ongoing 38th National Games at Uttarakhand.Odisha won a gold medal,  3 silver and a bronze medal on Saturday. 

Bablu Munda won a gold medal for Odisha in the Wushu below 48 Kg Sanda event by defeating Haryana 50-14. 

However, Manju Munda of Odisha won a silver medal in the Wushu women below 45Kg as she suffered defeat from Twinkle Bhandari of Madhya Pradesh by 27-60.

Odisha men and women kho kho teams lost to both Maharashtra men and women team by 26-32 and 28-31 points respectively, bagging a silver medal each. 

Odisha lifter Suresh Kumar Yadav clinched bronze medal in the Men's 96kg category by lifting 312 kg with 139kg in snatch and 173 kg in clean and jerk. The gold and silver medal won by Dilbag Singh of Punjab and Parv Choudhury of Uttar Pradesh with total lift of 337 and 316 kg respectively.
