Rourkela, July 20: An Anganwadi worker was killed in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Saturday by his spouse.
The man allegedly murdered his wife and dumped her stuffed body under a bridge, packing it in a pocket.
The incident left the locals of Joda village under Gurundia block in Sundargarh district in panic as the man behind the bloodshed, surrendered before the police & confessed to his heinous act.
The deceased has been identified as Jayanti Kujur, whereas the accused is Laxman Oram.
Initial investigations suggest that an extramarital affair might be the motive behind the murder.
A case was registered in this connection. Police initiated a search operation, to fish out the body from the water,said the police.
