Bhubaneswar, March 14: The directorate of horticulture and the directorate of agriculture and food production under the Odisha department of agriculture are allowed to issue the Phytosanitary Certificate for export of agricultural produces.
The Phytosanitary Certificate stands as a critical document for those engaged in the export and re-export of plant based and agricultural products.
The directorate of plant protection, quarantine & storage under the under the union department of agriculture and farmers welfare has written a letter to both the directorate of Odisha government in this regard.
The notification was issued on February 9 by the directorate of plant protection, quarantine & storage based in Faridabad, Haryana.
The department of agriculture and farmers' empowerment, Odisha has issued a notice following the approval.
The concerned officials of directorate of horticulture and the directorate of agriculture and food production are allowed to issue Phytosanitary Certificate for export of agriculture and horticulture produces through proper verification.
