Warning signals are currently active for multiple districts. Over the next twenty-four hours, places like Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, and Bhadrak face a severe orange alert. Forecasters predict dangerous hailstorms and strong surface winds reaching up to 50 kmph in these zones. Similarly, a quick nowcast indicated lightning and light showers for Bolangir, Kandhamal, and Deogarh within a tight three-hour window. People must stay indoors during these severe weather events to avoid lightning strikes and flying debris.
Wet conditions will persist for several days across the region. While day one brings mostly light showers, the period from day two through day seven promises light to moderate rainfall across various districts. Furthermore, isolated thunderstorm warnings coupled with gusty winds remain in effect for the first five days. Fortunately, skies will clear up by day six and day seven, with no major meteorological warnings issued for the tail end of the week.
