Bhubaneswar, May 25: Ace Odia Tele-Actor Biraj Dash is no more.Dash passed away of cancer at a private hospital under treatment here on Wednesday at 63. Dash became popular in the Tele-world for his live roles and actions in Sai Baba, Atatai and Nagafasa along with a lot of crime episodes. Dash who had began his innings as a classical theater artist, was later praised for his acting in the odia serials and films in Mo Bhai Jaga (1995), Prem Bandhan (1999) and Jaa Devi Sarva Bhuteshu (1989). As he was one of the devotees of of Shirdi Sai Baba he portrayed the role of Sai Baba more magnificently which in turn gave him a name of a spiritual performer. A pall of gloom has descended among the cine fraternities after the demise of the veteran actor. At the same time, well-wishers, friends, relatives, multimedia professionals along with the directors and producers from across the state have condoled the demise of Dash and bid tearful adieu to him.
