Bhubaneswar, Aug 1: Odia social drama ‘Puskara’ has been adjudged the Best Odia Movie in 71st National Film Award.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting informed it on Friday.
The jury submitted its report to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State L Murugan today, that delighted the Olywood industries and 4.5 crore Odias.
The Odia film ‘Puskara’, directed by Subhransu Das and starring Sabyasachi and Supriya Nayak is based on eminent writer Sankar Tripathy’s Odia novel ‘Nadabindu’.
The award giving ceremony will be held later wherein the President of India will present the honours to the winners and awardees.
